The International Parking Institute is holding its annual conference and expo May 19-22 in Fort Lauderdale.  This major conference will attract parking professionals from around the world to its educational sessions,exhibits of technology and equipment, and networking for business and fun.

CMA will participate in three education sessions at the conference:

  • Hot Topics in Parking:  A Structured, Open Debate” hosted by Joseph Sciulli on Sunday, 19 May, at 2:15 to 3:15 p.m.  Three experienced parking professionals (John Nolan, Mike Klein, and Barbara Chance) will go toe-to-toe on topics of their choosing and ones suggested by the audience.

  • P3 Part 3:  Implementing Parking Privatization:  How is it Working and Who is Doing It?” will bring CMA, The Ohio State University, and CampusParc (the concession company) together to discuss the implementation of the parking concession, how it has performed during the first academic year, and lessons learned on all sides.

  • Nearly 80 individuals will attend the CAPP (Certified Administrator of Public Parking) course on Wednesday when Barbara Chance teaches the Parking Management component of the certification program.

 

December 2012 – Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) selected CMA and Pennoni Associates to conduct a Parking and Traffic Study for CHOP's Main, North, and South campuses.

December 2012 – ITS America and the New Jersey Department of Transportation held a Smart Parking Symposium in Jersey City, NJ. Barbara Chance joined a panel chaired by David Tilley of TransCore to discuss "New Technology in Traditional Parking Facilities". This was one of several Smart Parking events planned by ITS America.

December 2012 - CMA was selected as part of a team lead by Jones Lang LaSalle to prepare a financial analysis related to the potential sale of the AutoPark at JFK Plaza in Center City, Philadelphia.

November 2012 - CMA is developing a Parking and Transportation Master Plan for Swarthmore College. The first phase of this planning effort includes addressing existing conditions and will be coordinated with the facilities master planning team working on the new Master Plan for the College.
