CMA News - 2012

December 2012 – Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) selected CMA and Pennoni Associates to conduct a Parking and Traffic Study for CHOP's Main, North, and South campuses.

December 2012 - CMA was selected as part of a team lead by Jones Lang LaSalle to prepare a financial analysis related to the potential sale of the AutoPark at JFK Plaza. The City-owned 810-space underground garage is situated in the heart of downtown Philadelphia beneath Love Park and JFK Plaza.

November 2012 - CMA is developing a parking and transportation master plan for Swarthmore College. The first phase of this planning effort includes addressing parking and transportation existing conditions and will be coordinated with the facilities master planning team working on a new Master Plan for the College.

September 2012 – CMA has supported a variety of projects for Wexford Science & Technology, LLC in its role as developer for Philadelphia’s University City Science Center, the Hershey Center for Applied Research, University of Maryland BioPark and Wake Forest Biotech Place. Through garage design and access reviews, to parking demand modeling and financial performance forecasting, to transit system enhancements, CMA has helped Wexford provide superior parking and access support services to its cutting-edge research clients.

September 2012 – CMA has been assisting the Delaware Valley Real Estate Investment Fund with achieving maximum performance from a parking garage located under a residential property in downtown Wilmington, Delaware, including improvements to garage operations, customer experience and safety, revenue stream, physical modifications, and other access-related issues.

August 2012 - Wexford Science & Technology, LLC has selected CMA to perform parking supply and demand study and financial analysis of parking options at the Piedmont Triad Research Park in Winston Salem, NC and the University of Maryland BioPark in Baltimore, MD.

July 2012 - Bob Furniss and Barbara Chance joined Sarah Blouch from The Ohio State University to present "Concessioning Parking for 50 years: Implications for Campus Planning" at the Society for College and University Planning in Chicago on July 10. June 2012 - Presenting to a standing-room-only audience at IPI, Barbara Chance and Joe Sciulli discussed the Ohio State University parking concession. They were supported in the creation of the presentation by Sarah Blouch, Beth Kelly-Snoke, and Alex Wright from OSU Transportation and Parking Services. April 2012 – The Parking Association of Georgia invited Barbara Chance to present the keynote address at the annual conference in Augusta, GA. View presentation. The conference had a large attendance, with strong representation from supporting vendors. Shawn Conrad, Executive Director of the IPI, also attended and addressed the group at it opening dinner event.

April 2012 – Drexel University has retained CMA to evaluate campus bus service staffing and schedule assignments to reduce staff overtime costs.

April 2012 – Wexford Science and Technology has selected CMA to review and provide transit recommendations for the Hershey Center for Applied Research, located adjacent to the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.
